 picture of legion logo on brick wall  Friday Fish Fry – Fridays in September – This September, bring a non-perishable food item when you go to Legion 479’s Friday Fish Fry. All donations will help fill our pantries! For times and location, click here.
 desiree logo   Desiree’s Ride – September 9, 2017 – Desiree’s Angels Victims for a New Start  The Ride for Desiree Gallagher was started in 2014 as a way to bring awareness to victims of crime, and raise funds for Desiree who was a victim herself which changed her life forever. This year’s motorcycle ride in Niagara Falls (one of three locations) will raise funds for Women’s Place and Victim Services.
 jmm thumbnail 8th Annual John-Micheal Martin Memorial Golf Tournament- September 10, 2017 (Whisky Run Golf Club) – This event honours the memory of an amazing École secondaire catholique Jean-Vanier student who dedicated many hours to raising funds for Women’s Place through his school’s annual fundraising walk. By participating in the tournament, you will be helping to raise funds for Women’s Place, Bereaved Families of Ontario and a scholarship fund created in John-Micheal’s name. http://www.john-michealmartin.ca/

August 2017

-Hampers of Hope – Thanks to Royal LePage Realtors and community members from across Niagara who filled over 100 laundry hampers with beautiful items for shelter clients across Niagara.
-Summer Beauty Gala – Shopper’s Drugmart locations in Niagara Falls were “Putting Women’s Health First” by hosting galas in support of our shelters.

July 2017

-Royal LePage Shelter Foundation: Local realtors, Deb Vukelich, Dawn Kendrick and Shelley Denham trekked over 100 km across Iceland to raise funds for  women’s shelters. Visit th  Iceland Challenge site to find out more!
